Domestic violence exists in every community. In order to understand why domestic violence occurs and why some victims remain in abusive relationships, it is essential to first understand the dynamics of power and control. In this training, we will look at not only how domestic violence affects adults, but also the impact it can have on children who witness this violence. Debra will also discuss warning signs to look for, how to help a survivor of domestic violence, and what resources exist for families experiencing domestic violence in our community.
