It’s World Wide Wednesday! Here’s what’s happening the world of foster care and adoption around the web:
- Check out Adoption at the Movie’s guide to CLOSURE: A Trans-racial Adoptee’s Quest for her Birthmother.
- This issue of the Iowa Foster and Adoptive Parents Association is filled with resources for youth aging out of foster care. A good reference sheet to keep handy.
- On the Kid Hero blog, adoptive parent Megan Massey shares her memories of the first time she met her son.
The Donaldson Adoption Institute is conducting a new study exploring the experiences and needs of different types of adoptive families. By increasing their knowledge about adoptive family diversity, the Institute hopes to enhance training of adoption professionals and improve services for children and their parents.
They are asking parents to fill out a 30-minute confidential questionnaire. If you are interested in taking part in this study or finding out more about it, please contact Dr. David Brodzinsky (firstname.lastname@example.org or 510-985-1772), or simply click on this link to access the survey online.
