It’s World Wide Wednesday! Here’s what’s happening the world of foster care and adoption around the web:

  • Don’t let your fear of the unknown stop you from making a difference. Watch this video to hear how Diane Behm and her husband overcame their fears and became foster and adoptive parents.
  • The June issue of Adoption Today focuses on attachment and trauma and includes articles on when to get help, choosing the best therapy, avoiding emotional triggers, tips for stressed parents, and much more. The issue is available free during the month of June.
  • Reggie aged out of the foster care system on his 18th birthday. Like the nearly 30,000 foster youth who face this reality each year, he was scared and unsure of his future. Now 2 years later, he is a young man with big dreams, sage wisdom and an infectious smile. But that will only take him so far. The Camellia Network shares his story in this video.
  • Addison at Adoption at the Movies posts about Disney’s The Jungle Book and cross-cultural adoption.
